SLUDTERA would like to inform its followers that a St. Lucian will sit on an international panel at GEC 2019.
Ms. Michelle N. Samuel, Founder of SLUDTERA, and Head Organizer of Startup Huddle St. Lucia, has been invited to sit on an international panel to discuss the topic “Building Communities Around the Entrepreneur”. Also sitting on the panel will be Asif Iqbal, Kim Lane and Yuval Yarden, to name a few. Some key points which will be discussed relate to what the Entrepreneurial community is like in each panelist’s country or city, how have the GEN programs been implemented, and what impact they have had.
The session will take place on Wednesday April 17th 2019, and is Powered by STARTUP HUDDLE. It is about “Building a GEN Country.” In this session, participants will learn about the power of entrepreneurial communities, and how to adopt and implement GEN programs like Startup Huddle and Global Entrepreneurship Week. This will be a panel discussion with GEN community leaders around the world who have built communities around their entrepreneurs.
The session will take place as part of a global gathering of policy makers and Entrepreneurs called the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC).
GEC 2019 will take place in Manama, Bahrain a thriving startup hub with more than 4,000 years of history as a commercial crossroads. GEC 2019 will be held in April 15-18, 2019.
Michelle is the very first St. Lucian to sit on such a panel, and the accomplishments of her program Startup Huddle St. Lucia, hosted by her Organization SLUDTERA, will be highlighted during the GEC programming. (Since it’s launch in November 2018 during Global Entrepreneurship Week, Michelle and her team of hardworking Co-Leaders, have held six successful events including the launch, which featured a celebrity guest speaker, Mr. Joshua Esnard – Shark Tank winner and Inventor of The Cut Buddy.)
Michelle will be among several key note speakers who will share their knowledge, expertise and experiences with the listening audiences. To see the full list of GEC 2019 speakers, click here. Michelle’s profile can be seen here. She owes much gratitude to the U.S. Embassy, Bridgetown, for their unwavering support of her organization and the programs that she’s involved in such as Startup Huddle St. Lucia.
Apart from being the first St. Lucian to sit on such a panel, Michelle is also the first St. Lucian to be appointed as an Informal Startup Huddle Ambassador to GEN. In this capacity, at GEC, she will be assisting when necessary, to assist with the sharing of information about Startup Huddle and to mentor individuals, who have an interest in launching a Startup Huddle chapter in their own country.
Startup Huddle is a program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. It is based on the notion that the best way for entrepreneurs to discover solutions to the challenges they face is through purposeful engagement with one another.
Startup Huddle is currently taking place in over 170 cities around the globe.
SLUDTERA wishes to extend congratulations to our Founder and extend God’s richest blessings to her during her trip and her representation of St. Lucia at GEC 2019.
